New Weight Loss Site Up And Running!

I finally found out how to make my scripts/php/html codes working with Joomla.

I have been working two weeks on my new weight loss site, switching from Joomla 1.0 (which is pre-history) and Joomla 1.5, uploading a lot of extensions (modules, plugins, components, mambots) that didn't work at all, asking help in Joomla forums and... found the greatest help out there!

Oh... I told them that I am a computer and programming idiot (it's not untrue) and that they had to talk to me like they should do to a baby. They did it and... after almost two weeks, I finally understood what I had to upload as extensions and what I had to type to make these extensions work.

The Joomla Search Engine Friendly extension is on and I have to say that I like the way the links are displayed.

The newsletter subscription is already working and I have to switch the best-seller product to the new domain. The newsletter and the free report are brand new.

I also plan to use ethiclinks to add backlinks to my new site.

The brand new feature of the site is that visitors can register to add their own articles or to download some freebies that I'll add soon. There are also some free coupons available and some free weight loss tools that will help people to keep control of their waist line.

I bought a new domain name for this site and will re-direct the old one to the new one later today. Starting today, I'll be adding the former site's articles into the new one.

Also, I already have ten articles to submit to the article directories in order to drive traffic to this new site and plan to write some articles dedicated to the Cabbage Soup Diet that I will put on the site as well as into a Squidoo lens.

Let's see what will happen with this new site: today, while my new site link has never been published, there are already three visitors...
