Today has been a wonderful day!

While trying to send this promotion to my opt-in subscribers, I noticed that my autoresponder (Responsebot) does not work any more... I already had some problems with their global broadcaster before: unable to send a broadcast to multiple lists at once, for instance.

But today is the cream of the crop: I can't send a broadcast to only one list even while I am a paying member of this responder!

I don't talk about the fact that I received no answer from the "support" - send them a support request and you'll be lucky when and IF you receive an answer!

I also have to send a promotion for the Murray Secret "Anti Giveaway"; which is not done as the autoresponder does not work - and the giveaway launches on Friday!!!

So, I am studying other autoresponder services and plan to subscribe to one of them later this week or by the weekend.

However, I don't know how I will do to inform my subscribers about the fact that my autoresponder will change. I don't want to import them in the new autoresponder at once since I think it is not fair to not inform them before, even while importing my subscribers list means that they will have to confirm their subscription. And I don't plan to write almost 2,000 emails (marketing lists, holiday lists, other niche lists).

Belgium's Going Back to Black...

Ooooooooooooops, I am sorry, I am wrong: Amy Winehouse's going Back To Black and Belgium's maybe going back to... the Old Political Way.

Since I am fifteen years old, I am a politics passionate and I am one of the few Belgians who agree to vote and like it: voting is mandatory in my country. I just read an article on RTL's website (Belgian private television) talking about possible financial losses for the Flemish, Walloon and Brussels regions whether my beautiful small rainy country is split into three parts.

A division of my country would mean a loss of EUR 200.00 per Flanders citizen and to a loss of 1,200.00 euros/year per Walloon.

In summary, the division represent a net loss of 7.2 million euros annually, according to calculations made by Rudy Aernoudt, ex-general secretary of the Flemish administration.

And this Flemish person just said that there's a best way to manage our country: reconstitution of a powerful federal government, putting in place effective interregional cooperation. In such case, 100,000 unemployed Walloon should agree to occupy 100,000 jobs in Flanders (in reality there are 150,000 available jobs).

This would mean a step backwards for nearly 30 years, a full remodeling of Belgium and... the possibility of keeping our country united and, as in our national motto going back to: Strength Through Unity!

Whew! Good news that is coming for once, from a Flemish. Let's hope that a Walloon politician will give credit to this opportunity!

Note that for the moment, many Walloons would like to be tied to France, a country whose inhabitants are not stupid and do not want to see Wallonia added to their beautiful country. Wallonia is a poor region where majority of people do not want to work :-s

On the other side, in France, and despite a tiny and ridiculous president, Nicolas Sarkozy - George Bush's best friend - who would like to be Louis XIV or Napoleon, is living a multiple nuclear incidents era (Tricastin - Southern France). If this continues, we will have a second Chernobyl...

While we all have our eyes directed to the department of Drome, Sarkozy, who planned that France would rejoin NATO, is trying to make Europe adopt the U.S. views about the future of Georgia (Eastern Europe). I personally do not share the European views about this subject: when Kuwait was invaded by Iraq, we have been helping Kuwait and so we must do the same for Ossetia, which is an independent state since 1992.

Personally and other smart Europeans do not mind about oil and gas pipelines and are with the Russians...

As far as I'm concerned, France may well resume the headquarters of NATO, Shape and the like, I do not want of them: Belgium has always been a neutral country, like Switzerland, until the Second World War.

At the same time I'd appreciate that France bring the European Commission to Paris as well as it will allow Brussels citizens to go back to live in their city because renting rates will drop down.

As for me... except the fact that, while reading this post I notice that my English is awful and plan to attend a new English training course, I am studying the possibility of emigrating to New Zealand; where I intend to observe the laws and traditions. I would be closer to Japan where my son would like to live and is already studying the language. I would also stay healthy since the weather is less rainy than in Belgium ;-)

Afraid To Take A Vacation? Put Your Business On Cruise Control

"I started my business so that I’d have freedom, but I’ve never felt more trapped…"

I come across a statement like that at least once a day on a forum post or in email. You start your internet business because of the freedom of being your own boss and working on your own schedule and then promptly sit on your hind-end for 12 hours/day EVERY DAY. No wonder you feel burnt out. And no wonder family and friends are feeling neglected when all you can think and talk about is your business.

Freedom sounds pretty miserable to me if it means freedom from fun and the ones that I love.

So, how do you break free?

Start by taking a good look at your business and getting your goals and priorities straight. Don't worry, it's not nearly as complicated as it sounds. I'll walk you through it right now. Ready?

Grab a pen and a piece of paper or open your favorite word processor. Divide your page into four columns.

Now you're ready to brainstorm. Write everything down as it comes to mind. Don't overthink this. Just start writing.

First, figure out what is working. Whatever it is. It may be one of your websites, your ecourses, a joint venture, a certain marketing method. Where is the bulk of your money coming from, currently? (If none yet, where do you believe will be the place where the largest profits will come from?) Write those items in column #1 under: "Do More".

Second, figure out what is not bringing in money. Is it hanging out on forums or posting classified ads to freebie sites? Is it endlessly checking your stats, or email? What are your daily time-suckers? Write those under column #2: "Do less".

Third, figure out what could work better. Do you have upsells in place? Are your websites designed to bring you cash from every visitor? Make a list of ideas in column #3: "Improvements". (If you don't know yet, don't worry. There are plenty of ways to improve your business as you learn and grow.)

Fourth, figure out what can be automated. Which tasks are repetitive and boring, albeit necessary? Many of those types of tasks can be automated with simple tools. For instance, if you're submitting articles to directories by hand, there are tools and services to do that for you. Add these to column #4: "Automation".

Now that you’re armed with your list, it’s time to get to work.

Look at your list in Column #1: "Do More". Those are the tasks that you should focus your energies on. It’s a good idea to tackle one or two of the tasks on that list first thing in the morning – every morning. Believe me, it's much more productive than checking out your favorite blogs or logging into twitter. And you'll be amazed at how much you can get done quickly when your mind is fresh.

Look at your list in Column #2: "Do Less". These activities should be forbidden until after you get your #1 list done, if you do them at all. For instance, hanging out on Twitter is fun, but do not do it until everything in column #1 is finished for the day.

Now, go back to Column #1, 3, and 4. Your "Do More", "Improvements", and "Automation" lists.

Look at all of the items that are on those three lists. Now, circle each task that you …

• Can't Do
• Don't Have Time to Do
• Don't Want To Do

Those are the tasks that you’ll outsource.

Freedom means a lot of things. It means freedom to do the things that you want to do. However, it also means freedom to NOT do things that you really dislike doing.

For me, it's graphics. I have outsourced all of my graphics since 2001. I don't have the time, patience or inclination to learn how to make my own graphics. I have more important things to do, like write this article and then go on a bike ride with my son. Perhaps when I get back from my bike ride, my graphics will be waiting for me in my inbox.

Now, that’s freedom to me.

Back To School Again!

Fist of all, if you live in the USA, I wish you a happy Labor Day!

July and August are holiday time and I had a lot of work in my house; which is old (150+ years), looking for another school to work as usual in August since I never know whether I will continue to work in the same school each and every year ; also, my grandmother had health problems...

So before going to my new day job - I found a job in another school but instead of the end of the afternoon and the beginning of the evening, I'll work at noon and in the beginning of the afternoon - I wanted to make my first September post.

Yes, today is the first day of September.

Here holidays are over and kids are going back to school - kindergartens and elementary schools re-open tomorrow ; secondary schools re-open on Thursday. I'll also get back to work as I work in a school. This year, once again, it will be a different one.

There are two main different types of schools in Belgium: municipal and Catholic for kindergartens (2,5 => 6 years old) and elementary school (6 => 12 years old) ; State and Catholic schools for secondary education (12 => 18 years old). Secular and Catholic high schools and universities. However, there are also private schools and the famous European School.

Until recently, we had one of the best education systems in the world. Unfortunately, the young teacher generation no longer has the qualities of yesteryear and teaching is becoming worse: photocopying, Internet, working with a computer at home, too much homework or sometimes not at all, according to the school; teachers do not write on the blackboard any more (it's too tiring), learning methods to writing and reading have changed and children are unable to read or write.

Ok, so enough about the school nightmare - I'll be there tomorrow - let's talk about business ;-)
