Ok, still in the Giant Squid Challenge, I've been looking at all my existing lenses.
Most of my first Squidoo lenses were related to Weight loss and other Diet stuff and I had to delete them as they became Squidon't. So, with 5 or 6 lenses removed, the average number of Squidoo lenses I had was too low to make sure I would meet the Giant Squid Challenge 50+ requirement by the end of December.
Fortunately, one of my passions is... Christmas!
I decided to work on the topic - more than on Halloween since I work the Christmas niche for more time. So, I created this Squidoo lens: The Christmas Tree Tradition, that is a history of the use of a Christmas tree in Christian countries.
The job was easier than for any other Squidoo lens as I discovered that I already had a Christmas tree tradition and history article done last year. An article that I forgot to upload to my Christmas site! How's that possible? I don't know! But this article eventually became a Squidoo lens; which was a great time saver!
All I needed was finding nice pictures to decorate the lens as well as a good product to showcase. And I found a wonderful Evergreen tree on Amazon... the kind of tree I really like to have for myself and that got a bunch of positive comments and ratings from the customers. So here we have: 1 article, pictures and... a great product. On my way to create my next Squidoo lens.
As for now, I'm not far from the required 50 min Squidoo lenses... but I keep on working as I want to reach 60 lenses by December 31st. Why? Simply because I seriously doubt of my Business related lenses and don't want to count on them to become a Squidoo Giant.
